Please carefully read all terms
and conditions of service (advertising) before becoming
an advertising member of the Down the Handmade Path
marketplace.
Naturally, your products must be
handmade by you in America; not purchased/foreign. It
is understood that you may provide accessories (on a
small scale) needed to complete your patterns/designs,
and this is acceptable. Otherwise, all of your products
must be handmade/designed by you.
What
constitutes handmade? For the purpose of this
marketplace, handmade includes anything that you make by
hand. "By hand" includes items that are created
digitally; products such as clipart, graphics,
printables, and web designs that are your unique
creations within copyright.
Down the Handmade Path is a
website that promotes handmade/designed primitive, folk
art, and craft items. Please be advised that your
website must coincide with these intensions. If you are
unsure if your website coincides with DtHP’s
intentions, please feel free to browse the listing
categories and contact DtHP for more
information/guidance.
You must be a family-friendly
website. Therefore, any inappropriate content within
your site, or links to inappropriate content from your
site, must not be contained on your website in order to
advertise with DtHP. We thank you for abiding by
this guideline!
Down the Handmade Path
has the sole right and discretion to make advertising
changes/decisions and to deny a listing for reason
of content.
Down the Handmade Path
reserves the sole right and authority to deny any
advertising that does not meet the terms and conditions
of service before postings are made. All
decisions will be made by DtHP unilaterally and
in its sole discretion. If you are denied for some
reason, before any listings have been posted to DtHP,
you will be notified and a refund of fees will be
issued.
DtHP reserves the sole
right and authority to remove any advertising that does
not meet terms and conditions of service after
postings have been made. All decisions will be made
by DtHP unilaterally and in its sole discretion.
Periodic checks will be made to ensure that the content
of DtHP remains appropriate and fulfills its
mission. In the case that a member has not fulfilled
the terms of service, and it has been brought to
DtHP’s attention, such advertising will be removed,
membership will be lost, and no refund will be given.
Down the Handmade Path will do periodic checks to
ensure that links are active. If a “dead” (inactive)
link is found by DtHP, you will be notified by
e-mail. If you are experiencing temporary difficulties,
your link will remain on the site. If the link does not
become active within 30 days of e-mail notification, the
link will be removed. If DtHP receives
notification from you that the link is permanently
inactive, your link will be removed. If DtHP
does not receive an e-mail response from you regarding
your inactive link, within 10 days, your link will be
removed. No refunds will be given in the case of
temporary or permanently inactive links to your site.
If a violation of the terms and
conditions of service is deemed accidental, Down the
Handmade Path may reinstate advertising membership, but
DtHP has the sole right and discretion to make this
decision. In the case that DtHP deems a violation
accidental, and advertising is reinstate, no further
violations can be made to retain advertising
membership. If further violations are made, advertising
will be immediately removed without appeal.
All information relayed, by you,
to Down the Handmade Path will only be shared on
the DtHP website for the purpose of advertising.
Your information will not be traded, sold, or used for
any other purpose beyond that of doing business on the
DtHP website.
When purchasing advertisements
with Down the Handmade Path, you will secure the
first available space. You can determine availability at
any time by contacting DtHP. If a space is
currently unavailable, you may choose to be put on a
waiting list.
As an advertising member, you must
provide a link back to Down the Handmade Path. A
banner will be sent to you as soon as your advertisement
has been posted. You need to save this banner to your
computer, insert the banner into your website, and then
you will link to
www.downthehandmadepathmarketplace.com.
DO NOT simply copy a link to DtHP from our site
and paste it into yours.
Down the Handmade Path will
periodically verify that you have added our link to your
website in order for advertising to continue. DtHP
will discontinue your advertising if you fail to link
back to DtHP, and there will be no refund of fees
given. You will be notified in the event that your
advertising is discontinued. In the event that you
comply (within 10 days), and send an e-mail to DtHP,
containing a URL to the link, your advertising will be
reinstated. Please be advised, if your advertising is
removed and reinstated, you will be given the first
space available and no refund of fees will be given.
