Welcome to Down the Handmade Path, a Handmade Primitive, Folk Art,  & Craft Marketplace.  DtHP is a marketplace dedicated to promoting the diligent efforts of its members whose products are made by hand in America. 

What constitutes handmade?  For the purpose of this marketplace, handmade includes anything that is made by hand.  "By hand" also includes items that are created digitally; products such as clipart, graphics, printables, and web designs that are unique creations within copyright.  Of course, handmade products must also be made in America. 

It is understood that some of Down the Handmade Path's advertising members may provide accessories (on a small scale) needed to complete patterns/designs, and this is acceptable.  Otherwise, all products must be handmade/designed in America.

DtHP is also dedicated to providing a user-friendly website organized into eight main categories.  The eight main categories are then organized into specific subcategories in order to direct users exactly where they want to go. 

DtHP's Eight Main Categories (with some subcategories listed):

Threads - quilting, stitchery, prim dolls, ornaments, embroidery, clothing, wool, knitting/crochet, etc.
Wood - furniture, woodcrafts, signs, stencils, etc.
Paper - patterns, paper mache', printables, cards, scrapbooking, etc.
Soy/Wax - candles, melts, etc.
Clay/Stone - pottery, stoneware, etc.
Metal/Glass - garden art, jewelry, lamps, etc.
Digital - E-patterns, graphics, clipart, web design, printables, stencils, etc.
All Others - bath products, room sprays, fragrance oils, reed diffusers, jewelry, purses/accessories, etc.
